Peter Buxton has done it again – for last year’s Yilgarnia Wine Dinner he brought fresh marron from the river that winds through the family property, and this year he doesn’t disappoint!

Murdoch James Estate, one of Martinborough’s pioneering wine producers will host Merchants Wine Cellar’s next Wine Dinner at Duxton Road on November 8th.
Nicola Belsham (..she’s the winemaker’s wife – so you know she makes the critical decisions!) will be our special guest and hostess at this Paddock to the Plate gourmet dinner featuring delicious Rack of Lamb from the Murdoch James Estate.
Nicola has carefully selected a flock of fresh little lambs from the family property and they’ll be ‘prepped’ and packed for your wine pairing pleasure! Our 5-course dinner will feature the full range of Murdoch James gold medal winning wines including Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling (dry), Pinot Gris, Rose and of course – Pinot Noir.

Angas Plains Wines is a family winery owned by Phillip & Judy Cross (the P and the J in PJs!), who live on the vineyard. They are very passionate about their wines, and recently scooped big time when James Halliday waved his magic wand, scoring 2 of their wines at 96 points, 3 wines 94 points and one 93 points!
Angas Plains Estate vineyards are in the Langhorne Creek wine region which is situated 50 minutes’ drive South East of Adelaide in South Australia.
Producing quality fruit is vitally important, so is sustaining our growing environment. Wherever possible, advances which allow a more environmentally friendly approach have been adopted.
On pour will be best-selling bubbles, unwooded Chardonnay for you ABCs (you know who you are..!), and a fabulous range of very special Cabs and Shiraz.

Kris Wealand owner/winemaker from KarriBindi in Margaret River joins us in October to pour us a little Margaret River sunshine in a glass!
His family owned and operated vineyard with 32 hectares of grapes under vine is located in Karridale, a premium growing area in the southern part of Margaret River, close to Cape Leeuwin, the most south westerly point in Australia. Surrounded by Karri forests, the vineyard lies on fertile Karri loam and gravel soils, typical of this area. The southerly location provides ideal growing conditions, allowing grapes to benefit from slightly cooler weather than the growing areas to the north resulting in fresh and elegant wines bursting with character and complexity.
Come taste beautiful bubbles, Sauvi Blanc, Sem Sauv Blanc, an elegant, rich Chardonnay, Cab Merlot and a medium bodied Shiraz to die for!

Simon Sorby Adams returns to Singapore in October with a great line up of tasting events in store for wine lovers. Simon hails from Barossa and Eden Valley, and his wines are regular stars on the Top 100 Barossa Wine List.
Simon is also here to attend a special fundraising dinner at St Andrew’s College. His Great Uncle was the Headmaster of St Andrews many years ago. The Canon, a stunning Cabernet Shiraz is named after The Reverend Reginald Keith Sorby Adams who was appointed headmaster of St Andrews College on 1 October 1934.
